This is Texas

We all have that one neighborhood bar. That one Dive. The one where you don’t have to ask for a drink because it’s on the bar top waiting for you before you even sit down. That’s where we are-at our personal favorites and new ones, across the entire state. We want to talk to real Texans. We elevate the voices that are often ignored by the mainstream media. The best way to understand the challenges facing Texas is to talk to the people who live here. Whether you’re a farmer in the Panhandle, a firefighter in Houston, a tire shop owner in the Hill Country or a teacher in a Border town, and everyone in between, this is real Texas and this is our platform. So meet us at your local Dive and let’s shoot the shit.

Johnny Solis III was born and raised in Johnson City (Hometown of President LBJ) and has been active in Texas Politics for over two decades. A graduate of Georgetown University and the University of Houston Law Center, Johnny is a community activist, political junkie, former educator and wanna be country singer on a Saturday night at Karaoke.  From canvassing in the Texas Hill Country and Houston, to making phone calls, organizing political events and advising campaigns for both Democrats and Republicans, Johnny is a grassroots politico. Aside from being a lowly intern on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., a Governor’s Fellow in Austin, or a policy analyst in Harris County, Johnny, enjoys everything Texas and Politics. When not following the news, politics, watching Jeopardy or remaining active in the community, Johnny can be found hunting or fishing in the Hill Country, visiting family, or at his local Dive having a beer and chilling with his friends from the neighborhood. So come grab a drink and shoot the shit with Johnny.
